The Red Sox, Phillies and Cardinals were all buyers and each got good but they still managed to keep their best prospects.
Red Sox get Casey Kotchman and the Braves get Adam LaRoche
Twins get Orlando Cabrera and the Athletics get SS prospect, Tyler Ladendorf
Marlins get Nick Johnson and the Nationals get Aaron Thompson
